Adhesion Imerys minerals can demonstrate a positive effect on adhesion
In several adhesive and sealant systems, Imerys minerals demonstrate a positive effect on adhesion by taking advantage of unique shape, size distributions and surface chemistry. It seems that use of such minerals tend to allow extension of the resin dispersions and adhesion promoter for optimal effect.
Hydrous and calcined kaolin
Our fine platy particle hydrous kaolins and calcined kaolins provide higher interaction sites for adhesion. In starch and synthetic resin systems, kaolins improve flow characteristics, penetration, adhesion, and dry time.
